Biancoshock

Borederlife

Milan artist Biancoshock has turned abandoned manholes of Lodi, Italy into cozy minuscule homes. These secret rooms complete with wallpaper, shower unit, kitchen utensils and hanging artwork.   This installation, entitled “Borderlife” is the artist’s effort to draw attention to the extreme living condition many people are forced to endure. An example of inspiration is Bucharest, after the fall of Romania’s communist party in 1989, over 600 people now living underground in the city’s sewer system.

If some problems can not be avoided, make them comfortable.” – Biancoshock
