John Deakin

John Deakin was an English photographer, best known for his work centered around members of Francis Bacon’s Soho inner circle at the legendary private members’ club, The Colony Room.

Under the Influence: John Deakin and the Lure of Soho, the exhibition currently on show at The Photographer’s Gallery, will give you a glimpse of Soho’s streets and bohemian characters in the 1950s and early 1960s.
